Celebrities stepped out in the South of France for the Red Sea International Film Festival’s “Women in Cinema” Gala at the Cannes Film Festival this weekend.
Guests on the red carpet included the CEO of the Saudi Arabian festival, Mohammed Al Turki and the chairwoman Jomana Alrashid alongside celebrities including Uma Thermen, Naomi Campbell, Carla Bruni, Richard Gere, and many others.

The soiree took place in the magnificent Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes.

Those stars and many more attended the evening’s festivities at the iconic Hotel Du Cap.

The event champions the achievements of up-and-coming women working within the film industry, shining a light on talent particularly in Arabia, as well as the wider Asia region and Africa.
During the event, six women “who are fiercely redefining what is possible for future generations of female storytellers,” were honoured by the organisation. Those included Saudi stars Aseel Omran and Adhwa Fahad, acclaimed filmmaker Ramata-Toulaye Sy, popular Thai actor Sarocha Chankimha aka Freen, Indian superstar Kiara Advani and acclaimed Egyptian actor Salma Abu Deif.
